With Covid on an upsurge, many courts are back to jury trials intended to avoid the threat of infection by a significant variety of settings. These revised trial procedures include virtual trials in many variations. David Beninger, a lawyer at my law firm, is an extraordinary plaintiff’s lawyer. He recently obtained an order for a virtual jury trial in one of his cases. In this version, the jurors are at home and connected to the court remotely. The arrangement is outlined with significant detail in the court’s order. I’m including the order as an example of one possible arrangement for a jury trial during the Covid pandemic.
